Bio

Andrew Cutmore – Tutor Profile

I am a highly motivated Funeral Director and I started working within the funeral profession when I was seventeen, nearly thirty six years ago, so my funeral experience is vast and I have progressed my career, starting as a driver/bearer, to where I am today.

My passion for excellence is what drove me to sit the Diploma in Funeral Directing to become a qualified Funeral Director in 1998. The diversity of my roles have awarded me the chance to learn each individual job and how they all work together, which allows me to provide the best service to the families that I have had the privilege to help and look after.

I found inspiration in people that have taken the time to help me with my career progression and with my studies and they proved to be invaluable to my own personal development. This has encouraged me to want to inspire others in this industry by imparting the knowledge I have gained to newer people entering the funeral profession.

Because of this, my most recent course of study was to complete the Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) to allow me to tutor the new syllabus for the NAFD, the Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration and the new Diploma in Funeral Directing.

Course commencement Date: March 2020 working towards the exam March 2021. Course registration by end of February 2020. Then, September 2020 working towards the exam September 2021. Course registration by the end of August 2020. However, I enroll students throughout the year and I cover England & Wales.

I also teach at your place of work (subject to your location)
