Unit 3 – Counselling Support

Talking and sharing feelings following bereavement with someone who can be helpful.

For some people, relying on family and friends is the best way to cope, others turn to professionally trained bereavement counsellors offered nationally by such as Cruse Bereavement Care.

Local bereavement services are generally available through a GP, local hospice, the national Cruse helpline  or a local Cruse centre.

A bereavement counsellor often step in and work with families after the funeral director has completed his / her
responsibilities for the funeral.
