Become an NAFD Examiner
The NAFD is recruiting for examiners to support its expanding NAFD Education Framework, which will soon encompass a Certificate in Funeral Arranging and Administration as well as the DipFD and new Funeral Service Operatives’ course.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the NAFD in a highly valued role, working under the leadership of Lead Examiner, Louise Williams, of C J Williams Funeral Service of Telford. The role of examiner is to not only to assess and moderate examination papers, but also to support oral exams – giving students valuable opportunities to display their abilities and learning in a role-play setting.
To apply for the role of NAFD examiner, you must be:
- a practising funeral director with a minimum of five years’ experience in the profession;
- a holder of the NAFD’s Diploma in Funeral Directing; and
- a holder of an appropriate qualification in Maths and English.
Please note that applications can only be accepted from persons not associated with, or working for, an NAFD Category E (Approved Tutor) member firm.
Applications are now open and the closing date is Friday 10 September 2021.
We will be holding interviews at the end of September and successful candidates will be offered full training before commencing with examining duties.
This is a voluntary position, although any genuinely incurred expenses will be covered.
To request an application form email the NAFD Education Team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
